Geocom Developer Network – GDN
Customer requirements are constantly changing. Occasionally they can be highly specific, becoming necessary to look beyond the conventional and standardized GEONIS solutions.
With GDN, Geocom offers a powerful development environment for individual expert solutions, which can be used without programming knowledge.
GDN provides information and knowledge to specialized engineers who work with GIS technology. With the Developer Network, Geocom provides an open platform with all the tools required for information exchange, complete with an online forum, a knowledge base, and a comprehensive collection of software tools.
GDN provides the system administrator with a simple and efficient method of modifying or adding to existing expert applications. Individually configured and modified expert applications are “release independent”, which means they remain fully usable even after a new release is introduced. The solutions created with GDN for data entry stations and workstations can be used on both the desktop and the server.
The Geocom Developer Network consists of the GDN Platform and the GDN Studio. The GDN Platform, with an integrated discussion forum and comprehensive knowledge base, serves as a central starting point for all relevant issues when developing custom solutions.
GDN Studio is where the actual developing takes place within the GEONIS environment and includes a carefully coordinated collection of software tools, which are used to support configuration and development.
